There are several new updates on the way for the 2020 Honda CR-V. For one, the vehicle will be available in a hybrid trim level that may get as much as 50 percent more fuel economy over its gasoline-powered version. The Hybrid CR-V will use the same gas-electric engine and motor as the Honda Accord Hybrid, which is an Atkinson cycle 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. The CR-V Hybrid will come standard with all-wheel drive and will be able to achieve as much as 212 horsepower.

The 2020 Honda CR-V will also have a new base engine. This new standard engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that achieves up to 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. The engine will be mated to a continuously variable transmission.

The exterior of the 2020 Honda CR-V will look a little different than earlier model years. The grille of the vehicle is fine-tuned and sharp, and the dark chrome trim around the vehicle adds a touch of edgy sophistication. There are also new fog lights and darkened taillights.

Drivers will be pleased to know that the 2020 Honda CR-V will now come standard with Honda Sensing. Honda Sensing is Honda’s suite of safety technology features, including collision mitigation braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
